Problems We Solve

Mechanical Integrity Related

Know The True Condition of Your Pipeline System.

A pipeline system failure or leakage could have a significant impact on your plant due to interruptions in production, personnel and operational safety, and reputation. To ensure your people, operation, and reputation are safe, plant sewer and buried pipe must be well maintained. In most cases a quality inspection is imperative. To accomplish this all material must be removed from the piping system (sewer or pressure) and cleaned to the bare metal. Once complete, Motivo can identify your mechanical integrity piping problems and then propose a petrochemical grade trenchless solution.

Infiltration/Sink Holes

During rain, tide, and other peak water events, cracks, holes, and separated joints allow groundwater to flood into your system. With water as the carrier, dirt, debris, and soil that should be surrounding the pipe and stabilizing the ground enter the pipe. Exfiltration is the inevitable companion to infiltration. Cracks, holes, and separated joints allow for loss of containment when the pipe is full or has material in it.

Under Deposit Corrosion

Motivo provides lasting solutions for UDC. We help facilities get ahead of Under Deposit Corrosion by going on-site to clean and restore piping capacity, which can also mean locating and stopping UDC before there is a containment issue. The Motivo Group has proprietary techniques to not only restore capacity, but to find and eliminate the impact of UDC.

Exfiltration

Loss of containment can be a high impact situation, and is caused due to cracks, holes, and other mechanical integrity issues allowing material from your piping system to leave and enter the surrounding soil. Our systems allow for identification of these locations and provide fast cost effective solutions to restore the integrity of the pipe in days, not weeks or months.

Collapsed Pipes

Ponding and backup are the symptoms, and rain typically magnifies these problems. But over time, they seem to go away, only to reappear later. This is often the telltale for a collapsed pipe. Our trenchless repair systems are geared to limit impact, reduce or eliminate downtime, and are always more cost effective than digging in a process area.

Cracks & Holes

Seems simple, but when cleaned, if all the material isn’t removed from your pipes then you may not know you have them. Only when it’s too late (surface indications and sink holes) do most companies take action to look for piping mechanical integrity issues. Effective maintenance for your buried piping system will help reduce the impact before there is a loss of containment.

Clay & Concrete Pipes

Eroded pipes, offset joints, separated joints, and cracked pipes all lead to the infiltration/exfiltration paradigm.  Water and soil in-flow when it rains and process waste out-flows when the pipe has material in it. Joints and pipe must be inspected, as over time joints can become offset or separated.

Why You Should Partner with Motivo

Motivo's phased approach solves pipeline infrastructure problems that others think are "impossible." Our turnkey, focused approach balances engineering and creative problem solving. This allows us to diagnose and focus on the root cause(s) of problems and solve the issue(s) once and for all. The Phased approach includes phased cleaning, remote inspection, and actionable reports. This makes it easier for our clients to make decisions on what they need to do to solve and not fix their problems, resulting in long term solutions with significant financial savings over traditional methods.

Motivo's phased approach reduces client's downtime. Our approach finds issue(s) from a micro (pipe) level to the macro (systemic) level, allowing us to know and focus precisely on the right solution(s), using services that may include: specialty cleaning, trenchless repair, and system mapping. In the end, the results are that our client's plant does not need to worry about an unplanned shutdown, losing containment, or digging up operating units, allowing for continued, smooth operations.

Traditional refinery and petrochemical facility industrial cleaning techniques are not designed to resolve core issues in plant sewers. Instead they are designed to get the pipes flowing again, as quickly and inexpensively as possible and unfortunately, the problem locations reappear on a regular basis. Motivo cleaning and rehabilitation systems are set up to find and resolve the root of our client's problem and provide lasting solutions through our phased approach. Real results guaranteed.

Motivo’s Phase Zero approach limits the negative impact to our client’s plant. Conventional, temporary fixes are common in the industry, but Motivo protects our clients by providing lasting, turnkey, trenchless solutions. This approach not only limits the environmental impact, but the potential financial impact as well. It all starts with a plan; it starts with PHASE ZERO.

Are You Ready?

It’s starts with a plan, a path to understanding your issues and solving them… it starts with Zero.
